14-day money-back guarantee. If Remarkable is not right for you, email us within 14 days of paying and we will refund you in full. No questions asked.

What you are buying

A Remarkable licence lets one teacher use the full app for their own classes. It costs US$4.99 a year. Local taxes may be added at checkout, depending on your country. Your licence key works on your own devices, up to the device limit for your licence. Please do not share or resell your key.

Renewal and cancelling

Your licence renews automatically once a year, at the price you signed up at, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time using the link in your receipt email from Lemon Squeezy, or by emailing us. When you cancel, you keep full access until the end of the year you have paid for.

Refunds

First purchase: a full refund if you ask within 14 days of paying.
Renewals: forgot to cancel? Ask within 14 days of the renewal payment and we will refund it in full.
How: email reportsremarkable@gmail.com from the email address you paid with, or include your order number. Refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days. Your licence key stops working once the refund is made.

This does not affect any rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.

Payments

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which sells Remarkable to you as our reseller (merchant of record). Lemon Squeezy's own buyer terms also apply to your payment. We never see your card details.

The free demo and free tools

The demo, the report comment examples and the free classroom tools and games are free to use, with no account needed.

Your work and your data

Your classes, comments, notes, merits, homework, calendar dates and parent contacts are saved on your own device, not on our servers. You own everything you write. Because we do not hold a copy, we cannot recover lost work, so please save a backup file from time to time. When you enter student information, follow your school's data protection policy and local law, such as POPIA in South Africa. Our privacy policy explains this in more detail.

Checking before you send

Remarkable helps you write, but you are the teacher. Read every comment, update and reminder before it goes to parents, including anything written with Write from notes, because AI-written text can contain mistakes. Remarkable never sends messages itself: you send them from your own email or WhatsApp.

Using Remarkable fairly

Please do not copy, resell or try to break the app, share licence keys, or use it for anything unlawful. We may switch off a licence that is being misused.

Changes and availability

We keep improving Remarkable, so features may change. We work to keep it running, but cannot promise it will always be available without interruption. If we ever close Remarkable, we will give at least 30 days' notice and refund the unused part of your current year.

Limits

Remarkable is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. Important changes will apply from your next renewal.

The law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
