One row per student with first names and marks. Remarkable suggests each student's attainment from the overall mark (under 40% working towards, 40 to 59% developing, 60 to 79% secure, 80% and above exceeding) and names their strongest and weakest areas. Marks themselves are never quoted in comments.

See who needs help with what, from revision results and mark book tasks tagged with topics.

How the percentages are worked out

Each cell is one learner's percentage for one topic. A mark book task counts toward every topic it is tagged with, at its mark book weight. All of a learner's tries at a revision topic count together as one piece of evidence, and the latest try counts most. Tasks and revision are then averaged, and a cell is left blank when there is no evidence yet.

A report card comment generator made by a teacher

Remarkable helps teachers write clear, warm, parent-ready report card comments for a whole class in a fraction of the time. Choose your curriculum and grade, rate attainment, effort and behaviour, tap a few strengths and next steps, and Remarkable writes a comment that follows a structure parents value: a strength, specific evidence, a next step and a practical idea for home. Edit any word, check for repeated comments across the class, and download every comment as a Word file.

Remarkable also keeps the rest of your class organised: merits and demerits with weekly or monthly updates for parents, homework reminders by email or WhatsApp, a class jobs rota, and a calendar of teacher days and your own dates.

Keep a term notebook of quick notes on each student, so report time starts with real evidence. Before reports go home, Check reports proofreads the whole class for wrong names, mixed-up pronouns, quoted marks, banned words and the wrong spelling.

It works for preschool to Grade 12 and Year 13, for Cambridge, CAPS and IEB, the UK, the US, Australia, the IB and more, in British or American spelling, with over 30 subjects from Maths and English to Life Sciences, Accounting and Music.

Works with Toddle and your school system

Remarkable is your own toolkit, not a school system. It works alongside Toddle, d6 and SA-SAMS by making it quick to get your work into them. Toddle is a trademark of its owners, and Remarkable is not connected to Toddle.

                    • Comments: Copy into Toddle takes you through your class one learner at a time, in the same order as your school list, with each comment ready to paste.
                    • Assignments: Copy for Toddle gives you the title, instructions and link for a revision assignment. Learners paste their result line back as a reply, and you paste the replies into Remarkable.
                    • Class lists: import the spreadsheet your school system exports, with First name and Surname columns, and your class is ready.

                    Questions

                    What is Remarkable?

Remarkable is a report card comment generator for teachers. You choose a curriculum, grade and subject, tap ratings, strengths and next steps or jot a few notes, and it writes a polished comment for each student in your school's style.

Which curricula and grades does it support?

Preschool and early years through to Grade 12 and Year 13, including Cambridge International, South Africa (CAPS and IEB), Zambia, the UK National Curriculum, US Common Core, Australia and the International Baccalaureate.

Does Remarkable work with Toddle, d6 or SA-SAMS?

Remarkable is your own toolkit, not a school system, and it is not connected to Toddle, d6 or SA-SAMS. You write comments, tests and revision in Remarkable, then copy them into your school's system in a few taps. Toddle mode walks through your class one learner at a time, with each comment ready to paste, and class lists import from a spreadsheet exported from your school system.

Can I use British or American spelling?

Yes. Choose British spelling with -ise or -ize endings, or American spelling, and every comment follows it.

                    Is my students' information private?

Your class list and comments are saved on your own device. Remarkable has no user accounts, advertising or tracking.

                    How much does it cost?

You can try the full demo for free, and students never pay. A teacher licence costs US$9.99 a year (the first 100 teachers pay US$4.99 a year), and a school licence costs US$149 a year for up to 25 teachers. You can cancel any time.

                    Can I get a refund?

Yes. If Remarkable is not right for you, email us within 14 days of paying for a full refund. The same applies to each yearly renewal.
